School Vists Welcomed at Jangchub Ling

Jangchub Ling Centre School Visits Programme hosts visits from local teachers and pupils every year.

A school visit to the centre gives classes a great opportunity to experience life in a Buddhist Centre - to meet monks & nuns, to listen to a teaching, be guided through simple meditations and ask questions.

On your visit you will be able to learn the meaning and symbolism behind the beautiful imagery (shrines, statues, wall hangings) within the meditation hall; and gain special understanding of the meaning of Buddhist rituals.

We can cater for of all size of group, age and ability. The teaching can focus on whatever aspects of Buddhism are relevant to the pupils' curriculum and interests, e.g. history, lifestyle, relevance to modern times etc.

Support material for teachers is also available. The cost of a typical School Visit is £1.50 per person.
